Via
Santa Maria dell'Anima
Apartment:
The residence at Via Santa Maria dell'Anima overlooks
Piazza Navona and its surroundings. The student residence is a
former convent, converted for hosting study abroad programs. Up to
50 students can be housed in this dorm-style arrangement in single,
double, and triple bedrooms. Each of the two floors has two
kitchens and a common area for use by all students. Studio and
lecture space can also be utilized, to centralize activities of smaller
programs: studio and living space together on the same floor in the same
building. Below are photos are of the common areas, bedrooms, and
one of the four kitchens.
Amenities:
Telephone, wireless internet, and
coin-operated washing machine and dryers are available. Each floor
is accessible by elevator and stairs.
Surrounding Area:
Centrally located, the building is
surrounded by Roman history: minutes
from the Pantheon, the outdoor market at Campo de' Fiori, and within walking
distance of practically everything in the Centro Storico. Piazza Navona is surrounded by shops, restuarants and is well
connected to public transportation. The property at Piazza Navona
consists of two floors of a building shared by the famous church
Sant'Agnese in Agone (designed by Rainaldi and Borromini who enlarged
the original structure in the 1650's), as well as the Brazilian Embassy.
As
you look out the window into the courtyard, you'll see Borromini's
Cupola is your neighbor.
